Creativity: A short and cheerful guide

This book gives some really great advice about how you can make the creativity process work for you. For anyone who does creative work, which I think is most people today, you will recognise some of the frustrations but also the joy that comes out of creating something you are really proud of. My notes from the book are:

Give yourself ‘playtime’ to work on a problem

Let your chattering mind slow down by noting down everything it says to start with…or meditate

Write down the problem on the screen and keep it there

Don’t throw away ideas clarify them before…assess them with Hare brain…

When bored go back to tortoise thinking …iterating

Bigger the ‘leap’ the longer the process will take
